This Dixon 30RDSSAP series adapter is used for connecting or extending pipes going in the same direction. It has female British Standard Pipe Parallel (BSPP) threads on one end (for connecting to male threaded pipes) and male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on the other end for connecting to female threaded pipes. It is made of stainless steel 316 for higher strength and greater corrosion resistance than stainless steel 304. This fitting includes a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) gasket for resistance to chemicals, moisture, and high temperatures and is suitable for use in tanker truck chemical and fuel transport applications.
